Using the sides and back to tell more of the story of the Land.

I placed 3 Blue crystals at the top to represent the connection to the Heavens.

The bottom is painted with copper leaf bottom to represent the connection to the Earth.

Each side brings in elements that extend out to the edge, just as Nature doesn't end; only our attention does.

The back of the work is a place of honor:  the handmade stamps are called the Directions and the Sacred Center.  The photograph is of the actual Land that inspired the painting, along with the Longitude and Latitude honoring the Place.
